This elegant 18th century Régence looking glass has carved giltwood with mirrored borders, circa 1715-1730. The carved frame has floral and scrolling elements laid over the mirrored borders and crest. The pediment has a carved basket framed by cresting scrolls resting on a framed mirror with distinguished carvings of scrolls and trailing foliage. The bottom of the frame scrolls down with the scrolls being absorbed into the Rocaille feet. The looking glass retains the original mirrors and wood pegged back.
