English Regency Egyptian Revival Convex Mirror with Girandole Arms

Monumental English Regency Egyptian Revival Girandole Mirror. The hand-carved gilt mirror crest features a phoenix (Benu Bird) rising out of flames, flanked by sea serpents (Apophis), above a lion mask on a keystone sitting on palm fronds and flanked by reeded horns pouring out flames. The convex mirror is flanked by a pair of girandole arms with pineapple finales and finished with hand-cut crystal bobeches & candle cups. The bottom of the convex is adorned with grape leaves and finished in tassels. This convex mirror exhibits the refinement and elegance of Egyptian Revival found at the height of the Regency period.
