French Hippocampus Handwrought Iron and Brass Eight Arm Chandelier

This Exotic French Art Deco Hippocampus Chandelier was made at the turn of the Twentieth Century. The Art Deco Chandelier is made from Hand-hammered wrought iron bars that spread out to eight branches with brass bobeche and candle cups on the end with scrolls and iron finial drops below. The wrought iron branches are fastened together with hand-hammered brass rivets and chuffs. The stem of the Deco Chandelier is two scrolled Hand-hammered wrought iron L-shaped bars that make plinths for the Hippocampus and comes up to a stylized Prince Of Wales Plum where the hand-wrought chain is attached. Each Hippocampus is made of the finest brass casting with attention shown to detail. This Art Deco Hippocampus Chandelier would work great in a Billiard Room or over a wonderful Kitchen Island.

Rewired: rewired using UL Listed parts and porcelain sockets. Rewoven. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor fading.
