19th Century Syrian Mother of Pearl Inlaid Cedar Marble-Top Chest

Rare Ottoman Empire chest of drawers with mother of pearl inlay that is inset in brass in Orientalist style. The chest is inlaid in a Moorish Design. Four of the five drawers are centered with mother of pearl baskets with vines and leaves that reach to the sides of the drawers. The top drawer is serpentined with an Orientalist flower bud and vines. Each drawer is framed in bone and ebony. The sides have three chamfered panels with Mother of Pearl inlay. The chest is sitting on bracket feet with brass and mother of pearl inlay. The chest is topped with a beautiful shaped marble.
