19th Century Jamaican Miniature Specimen Table, attributed to Ralph Turnbull

This Caribbean salesman sample was made in the 1830’s in Jamaica and is attributed to Ralph Turnbull, a notable Jamaican cabinet maker. The British colonial miniature table top features several different types of wood including yucca, coconut, cedrela, palm, satinwood, ebony, and mahogany. The quartered center column made of satinwood and cedrela. The tripod base has three exquisitely carved hairy paw feet.
