Originally made in Charleston, South Carolina, and bought for an estate in Georgia, this hand wrought iron boot scraper would be a perfect addition for an entrance to any home. Boot scrapers, as the name suggests, were designed to scrape off the mud and filth off of boots before entering a household. This style of boot scraper was widely popular in Europe and in America in the 18th century.
