37" H x 35.25" W x 23.5" D

This map chest was made in England during the early-19th century, circa 1820. This piece is an example of Campaign furniture, meaning it was used when officers or high officials traveled. It features three drawers with a top faux drawer and the top has an adjustable architect with a leather covering. This piece was made from mahogany with pine used as a secondary wood. The bracket feet are not original to the chest and were likely replaced around 1900. The chest is structurally sound.
