Thomas Broun was painted
in 1766 by Archibald
McLaughlan. Broun was
appointed the commander
of the Florida King's Rangers
in June of 1766. He was the
founder of Brownsborough,
GA and he was appointed
magistrate in that region.
This oil painting is of Broun
in a hunting schene along
with dogs, a servant boy
and another hunting partner.
This painting is a truly
beautiful and stately piece.
