A striking bedstead that exhibits most of the best formal and vernacular elements of Jamaican style. The headboard bolts on to the headposts, which if not unique to Jamaican beds, is very uncommonly found on beds originating elsewhere. This feature allows one to enjoy the full relief of the headposts’ circumference. The design of stylized palm fronds and oblique reeding is typically Jamaican. The tall turned feet with sequential turned rings, which are echoed higher up on the posts, are striking.
